Safe to run on a live store

  • Read-only: a scan changes nothing, runs no tasks and sends no emails.
  • Sends no data outside your server. The optional SSL check only connects to your own store address.
  • Built for large stores: size checks stop counting at their warning level, and each check has a 10-second limit.
  • Scheduled scans are off by default.
  • Uninstalling removes its settings, texts, permissions and scan history.

Install in four steps

  1. 1 Download StorePulse from the nopCommerce Marketplace (one package for 4.80, 4.90 and 5.00), or build it from the source on GitHub.
  2. 2 Upload it in Configuration → Local plugins, or copy the Misc.StorePulse folder into the Plugins folder.
  3. 3 Install “StorePulse - Store Health & Diagnostics” and restart the application when asked.
  4. 4 Open System → StorePulse and click “Run health scan”.

Frequently asked questions

Is StorePulse really free?

Yes. It is open source under the Apache 2.0 licence, with no paid tier, account or tracking. Cartenvo makes it to help nopCommerce stores, and offers paid help if you want someone to fix what it finds.

Will StorePulse slow down my store?

A scan reads a limited number of rows from each table and has a 30-second budget, so it is safe on large stores. It was tested on SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases of 7–8 GB, where a full scan took about 5 seconds, and on a catalog of 100,000 products.

Which nopCommerce versions are supported?

nopCommerce 4.80, 4.90 and 5.00. Each version has its own build, and one download contains all three. 4.80 and 4.90 are tested on SQL Server and PostgreSQL, 5.00 on SQL Server. MySQL hasn’t been tested yet.

Does StorePulse help me upgrade to nopCommerce 5.0?

Yes. On 4.80 or 4.90, open StorePulse → Upgrade readiness and pick 5.00. Besides the plugins that don’t have a 5.00 build yet, it lists what in your store needs work first: forums, news and polls (they become plugins), the Manual payment method (no longer included), card details stored in orders, email templates with the old %Order.CustomValues% token, plugin code that uses parts of nopCommerce that 5.00 changes, your theme, .NET 10 on the server and old attribute picture links. It changes nothing.

Does StorePulse check product SEO?

Yes. Its catalog audit has 19 checks for product pages: missing pictures, descriptions and meta descriptions, duplicate meta descriptions and URLs, missing GTINs and brands for Google Shopping, products that return “page not found” after their end date, and empty categories. Each finding lists the affected products with a link to edit them.

Does it fix problems automatically?

No. StorePulse never changes your store. It tells you what is wrong and how to fix it, and links to the right admin page.
