nopCommerce engineering for real commerce challenges.

Recent client projects, from a NetSuite-integrated B2B portal to the tooling that keeps a group of stores online. Client names and brands are left out.

B2B trade portal on nopCommerce, integrated with NetSuite

    Challenge
A distributor’s retail-first nopCommerce store had no business accounts. Trade customers needed their own prices, team logins and on-account ordering, with NetSuite as the system of record.
    Solution
A set of plugins on nopCommerce 4.80 adds company accounts with team roles, contract and level pricing from NetSuite, PO-based B2B checkout, live stock checks and order export to NetSuite as quotes.
    Results
    • Retail and guest checkout kept working unchanged alongside B2B
    • Orders reach NetSuite once, through an export queue with retries
    • Gated production releases with backup, maintenance page and smoke check

Automatic monitoring and recovery for nopCommerce sites on IIS

    Challenge
A business running many nopCommerce sites on several IIS servers found out about outages from customers. Stopped sites and app pools stayed down until someone noticed.
    Solution
A .NET 10 Windows service checks every site each minute, applies one safe IIS recovery action after repeated failures, confirms the site is back and alerts the team in Microsoft Teams when it is not.
    Results
    • Version 1.0.1 shipped as an MSI installer with SHA-256 checksums and an SBOM
    • No changes needed to nopCommerce or the sites themselves
    • Built and released in about one week

Three brand websites rebuilt on nopCommerce 4.80

    Challenge
A distributor ran its brand websites on a mix of WooCommerce, WordPress and older nopCommerce versions, each maintained differently and some on .NET versions that no longer get updates.
    Solution
Each site was rebuilt on nopCommerce 4.80 and .NET 9 with its own theme plugin, so the brand’s design and features live outside the nopCommerce source and the sites can be upgraded together.
    Results
    • Two sites moved from WooCommerce and WordPress to nopCommerce
    • One site rebuilt to match its existing design in four days
    • No edits to the nopCommerce source in any of the three
