Information we collect
This website does not have a contact form. When you email us, we receive your email address and the details you choose to include in your message, such as your name, company and project description. When you call us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and what you send us. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp LLC under its own terms and privacy policy.
The production website uses Google Analytics, which may store analytics cookies in your browser. Your light or dark theme preference is also stored in your browser so the site remembers it. We do not use advertising pixels, newsletter tools or booking tools.
Purchases, sign-in and downloads
Themes and plugins are sold through Paddle, which acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy notice; we never receive your full card details. From Paddle we receive the email address used at checkout, the transaction and payment status, and any refunds or chargebacks.
We record each order, the product and licence purchased, and when you download a release. To sign in to My purchases you request a single-use link sent to your checkout email; it expires after 15 minutes. Signing in sets a secure session cookie that lasts up to seven days. To prevent abuse we temporarily record IP addresses for sign-in, checkout and download requests, and count sign-in and download requests per email address or account.
Your cart is saved in your own browser so it is still there when you come back. It holds only which products you added, and we do not see it until you start checkout.
Free themes and plugins download without an account. We record which product and version was downloaded and when, without your name or email, and temporarily record your IP address to prevent abuse.
Account and purchase emails are delivered through Zoho, and release files are stored privately with Cloudflare and served through short-lived download links. We do not send marketing emails.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions with our website, such as pages viewed, referral sources and browser or device information. Google processes this usage data to provide analytics reports. We do not send enquiry email contents to Google Analytics.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and use Google’s Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google explains its handling of information from sites using its services in its privacy documentation.
How we use it
We use information from your emails, calls and messages only to respond to your enquiry and to discuss a potential project with you. We use purchase information to deliver what you bought, let you sign in and download it, provide support and updates, and meet our accounting and tax obligations. We do not sell your information.
Retention
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting business relationship, after which it is deleted.
Purchase and licence records are kept for as long as you can download your purchase and as long as accounting and tax law requires, including after a refund. Expired sign-in links, sessions and abuse-prevention records are deleted automatically. Free download counts contain no personal information.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you have sent us by emailing contact@cartenvo.com.
Changes
We may update this policy as our website and services change. The date above shows when it was last revised.
